PIANISTA ACOMPAÑANTE DE LA ESPECIALIDAD DE TROMPETA

PEPE GALLEGO

Nace en Valladolid, estudia en el Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid con Almudena Cano. Posteriormente amplía su formación en la Academia Férénc Liszt de Budapest con Marta Gulyas y en Ámsterdam con Jan Wijn. Además recibe clases de Dimitri Bashkirov, Josep Colom y Ferenc Rados entre otros.

Galardonado con primeros premios en diversos concursos nacionales e internacionales, Pepe Gallego es frecuentemente invitado a participar en numerosos cursos, festivales y congresos en Europa, Estados Unidos, México, Venezuela, Colombia, etc.:  Spanish Brass Alzira, Brassurround, Ficmaya, Instrumenta, International Trumpet Guild.

 Ha tocado con Eric Aubier, Tine Thing, Guy Touvron, Ximo Vicedo, Pacho Flores, Luís González, etc.

Con Luis González forma un dúo estable, participando en sus trabajos discográficos Siglo XX español (2003) y Gestas de un Don Nadie (2013). En este último disco participa Pacho Flores, junto al cual ofrece también recitales habitualmente.

Ha sido Profesor Pianista Acompañante de la Cátedra de Violonchelo de la Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía, Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid, Centro Superior de Música del País Vasco (Musikene) y en la actualidad, profesor del Conservatorio “Adolfo Salazar” de Madrid. .

ACCOMPANYING PIANIST TRUMPET SPECIALTY

PEPE GALLEGO

 

Was born in Valladolid. He attended the Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid, where he graduated under the leadership of Almudena Cano. After his studies he broadened his training at the Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest with Marta Gulyas. Later he moved on to Amsterdam where he improved his training with Jan Wijn. He also improved his education with Dimitri Bashkirov, Josep Colom and Ferenc Rados, among others.

He is winner of several national and international awards. Pepe Gallego is frequently invited to participate in numerous courses, festivals and congresses in Europe, the United States, Mexico, Venezuela and Colombia like the Spanish Brass Alzira, Brassurround, Ficmaya, Instrumenta and at the International Trumpet Guild.

He has developed an intensive activity as an accompanist piano, playing numerous recitals with great musicians like Eric Aubier, Tine Thing, Guy Touvron, Ximo Vicedo, Pacho Flores and Luis Gonzalez.

With the trumpet player Luis González he forms a regular duo, participating in his record works Spanish Siglo XX (2003) and Gestas de un Don Nadie (2013). This last album also features the participation of the brilliant Venezuelan trumpet player Pacho Flores, whom Pepe Gallego regularly collaborates and gives numerous recitals around the world.

He was the official accompanying pianist professor of the Violoncello Chair at the Reina Sofía School of Music, the Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid and at the School of Higher Musical Studies in San Sebastián (Musikene). Nowdays he is an accompanying pianist professor at the "Adolfo Salazar" Conservatory of Music in Madrid.
